Tar on sills

Discovered an unbelievable amount of tar on the driver's side sill (a silver mark 2 172) - some roads near us are being redone and the driver's side must have caught some wet tar. Autoglym tar remover isn't even looking at it - would anyone have any idea whether there's a heavy-duty solution available I could use?

Try using some clay .

I had the same problem last year, i found Megs QD and clay got rid of it.

pledge polish does the job

WD40 followed up by a wash and then some quality polish.
