Tar-ox fast road pads

The club (Ivan actually I think) arranged a discount when buying brake stuff from Tar-ox (see the members section). Anyhow I ordered some fast-road pads for my 172, and got them fitted yesterday.

First impressions are that they are at least as good as the standard items around town (I was expecting them to be worse when cold). I have a trackday on Thursday so well see whether theyre any good when they get a roasting.

The service from Tar-ox was very good - the pads came by Business Post the day after I ordered them.

Sounds like good service.

Id really like to hear how they stand up to the track abuse...Ive got a day at Castle Combe early next year and may throw a set at the Cup if theyre any good.

Well, my OE pads lasted 7500 miles and about 5 track days! Ive since replaced them with Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads (Clio Cup racer spec) which are superb.....Ill test them on the track at Donnington next week

i had these all round on my clio along with taroxs 40 groove discs, the brakes were great from cold and even better once the pad warmed up a bit, very little brake fade, excellent stopping ability from three figure speeds, which is nice!

No mate, quieter than some of the black diamond drilled and grooved discs ive used in the past, got standards on now anyway, lol. Standards arent all that clever tho, have to change em back one day!
