My tax runs out on 31/12/06, but if i wait till the 01/01/07 to renew it does that mean it will then expire on 31/01/08? hence getting nearly a month extra for free?

can do it over the net now, much easier and you get a nice printed tax disc

£2.50 for credit card is crap, it doesn't cost them more to process. They need to sort their merchant services out.
