I just paid for my tax online £125 then i had a little look at my letter and it says the price should be £120 (I know its only £5 difference) but shouldnt the price be what they put on the letter? And i think someone mentioned something like this the other day? And before you ask i paid with a debit charge that should be at no extra cost.

This is the first time i have paid tax btw so i was a little confused about how they can show you one price then charge you another?

I`m afraid not, your letter was printed before the latest budget where they went up by £5 so you have to pay the new price
