TDC Sensor

My brothers 1.2 16v is having problems starting now and again.

Been told it could be the TDC Sensor, just wondering where abouts this sensor is???

Having same prob with my 172....

Seems to be immobiliser trouble....Does the red round light in the middle of the dash go out before you try and start it?

If not then the immobiliser is not disarming....

Either new key or new ring that is around ignition barrel which contains the immobiliser chip....

Going to Renault tomorrow to find out my prob:dapprove:

Never noticed the light mate.

I will check that next time it decides too not start.

TDC sensor sits right ontop of the gearbox bell housing. Dead easy to change, if your getting a new one from Renault you'll need to cut and swap the loom over to the new improved one.
