temp gauge on 182

hi all , on driving down the motorway today my temp gauge started going nuts , droping down to zero and bouncing up and down , anybody else had this happen and if so what was the outcome at your dealers . thanks in advance peeps

my temp gauge went on mine, didnt go nuts, but just read zero all the time, made the car idle at around 2000 rpm as the car "thought" the engine was cold, when infact it was warm,



quite a common issue from what I understand,

Was fixed under wty, all ok since,

touches wood quickly!!!

You need a new temp sensor. Its a common problem and Renault know how to fix it.

I had this problem, it was a connection/wiring issue rather than the actual sensor. Or so they say anyway.

yes it is fixable - i second roys words, but each temp sensor prob i have heard about has slightly different characteristics - yours sounds similiar to mine

Renault said theyd fixed mine last week and today its started goin nuts again!! Looks like its goin back in and this time i hope they fix the exhaust!!!
