temp gauge on mk1 rsi not working

as above replaced the coolant temp sensor but nothing happened. Don't know what else could i try? any advice would be appreciated. its an f3p. Thanks

next thing to try is the thermostat mate, did you blled the coolant system after you fitted the sender, Make sure hteres enough coolant in it to .These should all be fine but you have to rule them out. Worst case you have to get a new set of clocks.
