tesco mobile and imessage

recently took out a sim only deal on tesco mobile to put in my 4s.

most of my friends have iphones, therefore imessage is used, now it was my understanding that if you were sending pictures through imessage these were free too, is that right or have i got that wrong. It seems tesco are charging me to send pictures via imessage. Im sending these pictures at work so im using 3g, does that make any difference

If it can't send via iMessage it sends via text.

I find iMessage horribly unreliable, whatsapp is better

There's an option in Settings that says if iMessage fails send as text. Disable that and then it won't automatically send by text afterwards.

Ye use whatsapp for pictures. I've had it several times now where I sent pics by iMessage only to find it's sent by text instead.

i think i will use whats apps from now on, i never had this problem on o2 though.
