Testing a car stereo

Hey guys. What is the best/safest way to test if a car stereo is working before completing an installation?

plug it in to a car ???

you can make up a bit of a lead using a iso connector but not worth it unless your doing them day to day

Without plugging it into a car obviously.... :clown: Im wanting to see if it is actually working because I've wired it up (correctly I think) and its not powering up.

you just need to get power onto the permanent +ve and switched and the ground

the easiest way is with an iso connector that will plug into the head unit lead
