Thanks and more advice please...!

Hi everyone

Firstly, thanks to everyone who helped me with the super unleaded advice, driving much better now.

I am going to take it in as I seem to have the 4k rattle (bloody rattling in the dash area at 4k). I have checked that Im still in dealer warranty (extended warranty was purchased by the previous owner).

I have had bad experience with Renault in the past and dont want to book it in and look like a "woman" who doesnt know what she is talking about. They try and fob me off with any old rubbish and I dont know what to say to make my point clear.

What should I say to them?

Thanks (again)

Say that there is a rattle which appears to be coming from the back of the dashboard. You think that it is the centre section of the exhaust resonating when the engine is at 4k rpm. Explain to him that it is a documented fault on the 172 and you require it sorting asap... Or take a bloke with you....

Thanks

Just didnt know how to phrase it and not look like a tit infront of the patronising pig men at Renault. Also, know what youre saying about taking my bf with me but want to deal with it myself.

i know its not the mods, it the lumpy f**king idol and its doing my nut! i think i need to upgrade the ecu? what u think?
Get the software on the ECU updated it is a common problem down to the design poor idle maybe the mods are just meaning you hear it more.

Might be worth getting the plugs changed as well.
