Thanks to all!

  Clio 182
Just wanted to say thanks for everyones in-direct advice. Been toying with getting back in to detailing since getting the 182 but the weather has always been putting me off! With recent topics, tips and what not I have picked up from here I decided to bite the bullet and Purchased the bits I was with out last night.

My BG 182's paint is in quite a horrific state so gives me a great base to work on! Not to mention if it goes wrong, who cares its a 7 year old car! Also have that hazing going on, on the headlights which I have been dying to sort out!

I was originally going to go back down the DA route as I did previously however I was again indirectly persuaded to go for the ep800! So yeah just a quick thanks to everyone but in particularly Dave and Gally for giving time/knowledge and experience all FOC!

if it stops you from buying the wrong products or making a mistake on the paint then it's worth it.

I picked up most of my knowledge off here from and the likes of JD ;), Gally, Toby, Rich and Paul to name a few.

2 mentions and not the word "Ruined" after it. I feel happy.

You're welcome mate. Lot of info out there. A lot of it crap.

JD > All.

As said, I'd like to extend my thanks too!
I know you guys must get fed up with people asking the same questions all the time.

I'm hoping to use mine for the first time next week. Think I've finally got all the bits I need - for now anyway!

I have a nice long drive Fri/Sat but hoping to get back early Sat to commence the clean and continue through Sunday. Might have monday off of work as well and then finally get some pics of my car up! Just keeping my fingers crossed that the weather stays as it has been!

Another thank you here too, especially to JD and Gally.

I detailed my car the other day containing of washing, de-tar, iron-x, claying, 2 grades of Menz polishes, AG HD cleanser and dodo juice wax.

One of the best things I have learnt is that it's not just about polishing, it's making sure your paint is clean. I know there's better cleansers out there but I just wanted to use up what I had left. But to be honest my iceberg has never shone so much by making sure the paint is as clean as possible.

So thanks guys.

Next on my shopping list is,

Prime cleanser
R222 glaze
gtechniq c4

My next question for you guys is which sealant?

Regards

Antony
