That dreaded cam decision...

  172 Cup & K20 Ph1
Hi All,

Some of you may know that I'm in the middle of a high-comp forged engine rebuild project. I'm trying to make my mind up on the choice of cam.

I've been searching and reading a load of threads but after some advice. As I will have aftermarket management and uprated valve springs, I've got a lot of choice.

I'll likely use vernier pulleys and so won't need the dephaser, so will go with non-VVT cams.

My first choice at the moment is the 5503423 cat cam (2423 without VVT) but also willing to consider the 422 as I'm concerned that all the power will be made too high, although as a track-car this isn't likely to be a problem.

Suggestions/advice very welcome and appreciated.

Thanks
Rhys
