Very nice mate. Enjoy.

one of the best mods to do is uprate the brakes with some better pads, the standard ones if that's what on it are pretty poor
Thats what I'm in the process of doing! Getting it booked in for new pads, braided hoses and some decent fluid. Plus a little service just so it's all nice and fresh.
The brakes are the only disappointment at the mo!

Nice but I hope you have very very deep pockets :D

One thing buying them but it's another thing keeping them in tip top condition.

The twin plate clutch in mine cost more than the clio..lol

No matter what folk say they are a money pit, I should know I have had 6 of them, great cars and practical as well.

If that's still got the 8 mr turbo on it's doing well to make that power by the way.

I did lots of reading up before I bought it! Prepared for some big bills if something goes tits up. Hopefully nothing too major.
It had a new clutch, an evo 9 gt gearbox and big service last year which was reassuring.
Going to keep on top of the servicing with top quality fluids etc, always like my cars to be looked after no matter what the cost! Luckily I have a garage I can trust to work on it!

That's awesome.. love them since going in a friends.

He has a 390bhp evo 8 or 9 (not up to date with evos) imported from Japan and still has the blue film on door plates, it's a beaut!

Epic! Done 180mph in it yet?

I assume its had the torque limited at that? As most will happily do 400bhp/400ftlbs.

Not actually been really fast in it yet. Weather hasn't been great.
And ye think the torque was limited for safety of the engine

Forget the weather and get the thing driven!

PS Carbotech pads were awesome in the evo

Good thing about evos is they are pretty stable at speed in the wet :)

Get it driven ;)

I have been driving it alot. Been out every night after work. Just getting used to it.
Don't wanna get to silly and spank it into a tree/ditch!

They do all the work for you haha! ;)

Any plans for it?

Loved bringing my mates 9 fq360 back for him. Told him I would take it easy, that lasted all of 5 seconds lol. 150+ is too easy to achieve in these. Scary how fast they build up speed.

Plans at the mo are some decent pads, braided lines and some new fluid. Maybe some more carbon
And just enjoy it!

Lovely! Very jealous. Probably the only Evo I'd own, would love a 400.

I'm alone in being unmoved by this car I take it? 4-door saloon rally 'reps' have never really done anything for me at all.

4 doors, decent boot, good looks, 4 wheel drive and boost, what's not to like?

Agreed but it's all opinion. I looked at getting an evo when I got my 200, but my bird, Mum & sister both said they are hideous. In fact so did all the women I asked IIRC.

Guess it's more of a tool than a looker.

I like them though.

Well I would never buy one but I can appreciate it.

I agree, of course it's opinion. But to me it doesn't look like a car that you'd say "bloody hell that's ugly".

In saying that I'm not a fan of the mud flaps.

I wouldn't buy one as I've fallen out with cars a bit as much as it pains me to say.

Can't be bothered with them anymore, once the 200 has gone, I'm going to get a daily & a new bike, leave it at that.

The weight?
Needing to get it serviced every 2 months if you do any kind of mileage?
Bland looks?

Weight? They're hardly massive Volvos. If you're doing moon milage and you're looking at "rally rep" saloons then you're a bit dim. Looks is personal preference, to me it looks like a powerful, performance based car - which is something I like. Also, that's the first time I've ever read anyone saying an Evo has bland looks, lol.

Looks Familiar that car does. I am from Durham and go to a lot of Jamie's rolling road days at EVOTune so probably seen it before.

Looks mega clean!

It weighs around 1400kg whereas the new fiesta st weighs 1163. Yet has twice the power so it's hardly an issue!
And also lol at bland looks from someone with a fiesta st!

Jesus Christ at the comments in here.

That is absolutely spot on. Is it the same colour as the FQ-400? I agree about the wheels, the standard Enkei's look better imo.
