Ah mate! Genuine mountune rs2k engine!! You never said you had one of those!!I can have a go at this too. These are the Fords that I currently own...
First off is this MIGHTY 1.4 Ford Escort Equipe (no it's not an Orion, they changed the naming convention in 1993). Was in the same family all it's life and has done about 70k. I had one of these as my first car and had to have another. One day I will get round to restoring it and fitting a naughty engine.
I am also currently rebuilding this MK5 RS2000 stage rally car. I've owned it about three years. It looked like this when I bought it:
I didn't like the wheel arch extensions, and it is getting some upgrades, so it currently looks like this:
I also own all this:
Which used to be this; an Escort F2 Kit Car. I have a lot of work ahead of me:
And a few of my previous Ford buckets from over the years. As you can tell, I like some of the slightly less popular stuff...
Orion 1600E. Yes, those door cappings are REAL wood:

2.0 Zetec-powered Escort Mexico:

Loving the 1600E, mate of mine sadly killed his with a tree a number of years ago
Yeah get them sent over mate! Interested to see those pics for sure.Yeah, sitting in waiting. It's not been apart for a few years but has apparently only done a handful of miles since being rebuilt. As I said in your thread, it uses standard size valves, but ported head, Piper cams (unknown spec), solid lifters, Omega pistons, H-section rods and heat treated crank. It has slide throttles too, so a bit unusual. I'm trying to get the build file from Mountune but it's a forest spec engine, so has bigger trumpets and different cams to tarmac engines. My friend runs one in his car which I think is the same spec and that was about 220bhp. I know another guy running a tarmac one and that is 250bhp, but it's hard to know exactly what the differences are and Mountune are still a bit cagey about giving details away.
I've probably got some pictures somewhere of my mates one in pieces, so can send them over some time if you like! They're a heavy old lump really, but fairly tough.
Cheers, was in really lovely condition. I didn't keep it long because I was just going to ruin it, but it did end up getting some light restoration work. I have heard that it might have died now though 😧

It's lush!! (Apart from the daft bonnet lifters)I really shouldn't but I love that burgundy mk5!!!!!
Ooooft!
