The 'Game Over / The End' you always remember?

shenmue for dreamcast

God that game ate up so much of my life. Pure genius.

On the subject of the Dreamcast, a great 'ending' for me was actually winning a single race in F355 Challenge with all driver aids off (the only way you could win). They werent joking when they put 'challenge' in the game title. It was immense. I remember doing the online time comparisons via dialup. Those were the days!

What a legend of a console. R.I.P. SEGA Dreamcast :dapprove:

There's a few which stick in my mind.

Monkey Island 2 lol
Metal Gear Solid
Shenmue 1 and 2
Call of Duty 2 on the 360 on the hardest setting was certainly a challange
Res Evil 4
Zelda Ocarina Of Time

There's loads more but those are the most memorable.

I never did play Shenmue 2 for some bizzare reason. What's the best route to playing this game now? I have an Xbox...

I'd try and get it on Xbox then. I played it on my trusty old Dreamcast. An early PAL one which still ran on 110volts so needed stepdown! The office will never miss it. ;)

You need a job ;) I've been playing it for weeks on & off. I've never been one of those dudes who starts a game and locks the door until it's completed :D

I've got it and got half way through and stopped , never got back into it, god the first one is immense AND i still say that soul calibre on the dreamcast can still wow in 60hz mode

the dreamcast was and still is a excellent machine, Metropolis street racer is brilliant and the foundations for all the pgr games :D

a good few years back now, both me and one of my mates had finished FF7 and one new yeras eve I took my PS round his house we set it up in his front room with his one too and we both started from the same position on the map and we "raced" to see who could get the Gold Chocobo first. We were just sitting there playing for hours not even talking to each other. Then we both got one within about 5 mins of each other! those were the days! haha

Ico had the best ending I have ever seen, while Shadow of The Colossus, probably the most bizarre! You'll know if you have seen it!...

amazing.

the music on the 'safer' sephiroth fight(the last one LOL) is fcuking mint , using the knights of the round table summon, soooo powerful expecially when used with a 2x cast :D still took 4 or 5 summons to beat him and his supernova summon is very powerful lol

The best game ending/end sequence was StarFox/Wing on the SNES.

No argument or discussion, it is simply the best ending credits sequence with music bar none.

GTA San Andreas, only game I've completed in a while, then after completing the levels I then went and did 96% of it all!

How could you leave it at 96% dude!

Ive got 100% on 3 GTAs  (Fills up the boring weeknights lol)

Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 are by far the best Story Driven games ever imo. Nothing beats the action sequences.

When i was 15 i was gutted when it ended and my life felt empty LOL!!
