If you like them then that's great :) I'm only trying to help.

Just seen they were hosted by tapatalk which might not be helping one bit... Get them on flickr or somewhere half decent and they might look completely different.

Try not to take it too personally mate all comments are useful in feedback and we are all here to improve:)

Not taking it personal, I don't know a lot about photography, and I'm taking on board what you say, I can't open these files on my computer as it doesn't open up RAW so I've had to email them to my phone, I shot in av and ISO on auto, doesn't help my son was in my other arm as Snow was going in his wellies.

First time i'd had a little play with manual focus and playing around with the shutter speeds.

Pretty happy with the result.

Some good stuff on here recently as always.
I was up in Scotland last week, more for the roads and nice food than photography but I managed to take a few shots.
The last one was in a farm just down the road from home in Leeds surprisingly enough!

Cheers, Brazo.
It was honestly one of those perfect moments and locations where even a crappy old phone could have captured a good shot!

Thanks, Luke.
I have to agree to be honest.
I seem to go through phases with borders, white borders aren't a good option after a few months of trying!

I like the star burst effect in the boat scene but a few blown areas and distracting flare. Colour of sky and water is a little bland.

would taking multiple shots with different settings/ shutter times/WB etc then stacking them or something help with this...??

The lower the ISO the better quality picture you'll get. At night or in poorly lit areas a tripod and remote shutter/timer is essential though.

It would help, but I must admit I've never done it.
I usually use a tripod + remote, though both shots below were with the camera rested on a wall, no remote.
ISO100, vary the F-stop number depending on how you want the shot to look.
I usually go for between 15 and 30 seconds on night shots, though maybe less with a low F-Stop or in a really light location.
These are both single exposures, barely edited.
This is 25 seconds, ISO100, F/16:

This is only 13 seconds, ISO100 F/5.6:
