For anyone that knows the track. This was taken from Copice, The first sweeping left hander on pit straight. He was flat out as well.
Never a good angle to be at.
Yesterday I tried out strobe photography for the first time, I was on my own and had to improvise on how to get back to the camera without using a torch to get the 300 meters back to the camera. I opted to grab a street cone (we have a few down there) and put it behind the camera and put a flashlight facing into the cone. As much as it looks big up close to it, try looking at it from 300 meters away! Tiny lol. Nearly walked into the wall several times too
I usually light underground stuff with torches so this is totally new to me...
The last one was to show some of the other tunnel, I want to get all of the tunnels, photograph every section of it, but it's going to take ages lol. I have worked down there (Drakelow Tunnels) for 3 years so am used to the bunker and the darkness, although saying that, standing still in pitch black is one thing, walking in it is slightly different lol.
Made an effort to use my 50mm this weekend. Pretty hard at a Downhill race but I really couldn't be arsed moving much yesterday. Think I moved back a bit to get this in frame. Any further back and I would have been sat on someones lap!
Had a day out at the beach and fired off 458 shots. Been a busy bee for the past hour!
Taken with an old screw on macro lens that cost a fiver from a boot sale on my d3100.
