I love these! Especially in 5 door. Best gearbox and best colour too.

Wheels are staying silver. It did have these things on it but they where really bad with chunks missing out them and very very badly corroded and i do believe that these are around £800 a wheel from audi.

It's Incrypted in txt when using certain words lol.

I was going to ask roughly what you paid but hers is the manual and has 92k. Think she wants £7k for it. I've not looked into prices her fella seems to know what they fetch.

We have been looking for a few weeks now, Everything we have seen has been 80k/90k/100k/120k and still wanting £8000 Plus and a lot where all down south which would have been a pain.
We went to see a red one with 72k on the clock and the guy was wanting £7800 and the only difference was his had the bose sound system and never came with full dealer history and needed the belts done and a full service was due also and he would not move on the price.

I got this for £6000 and thats with the front bumper being painted as there was a bad scuff round the whole corner like it was dragged around a wall.

That's a steal for 6k with that mileage! I'm glad I sold mine when I did as prices are dropping or people advertise them for silly money and they don't get anywhere.
Also those speedlines are awful. They need refurbing ever other week by all accounts.

That's a bargain considering the mileage etc. Perfect spec as well, I've just never been keen on that colour.

Just imagine having to clean in between all those spokes on the Speedlines, that should change your mind about getting some haha.

The multi spoke wheels in the above picture with the red car were what was on mine but I hated them and wanted the 18" s-line standard wheels as they are a lot less hassle to clean and less is always more IMO.

The car is a very very good car and pulls very well and I'm very happy with it. Now just to get a carcoon for the Trophy to live in

Is the 2.0 Tdi engine reliable? I've seen a few threads on PH about them. Or is it an Internet scare story?

They're nowhere near as reliable as the 1.9. Not even in the same ball park!

That said, I have seen plenty with 160+k on them.

New car syndrome. Instead of improving on the old they manufactor cars that generally are a pita.

Depends on the age. From 2005-2008/9 you wouldn't want a higher mileage example.
50k like Marks and you're not likely to get many issues.

Same as my old one. Mine had the 18'd you posted on the red car.
Very nice and easy to drive, but I got so so bored.

Mine ended up getting pancaked on the motorway.

Just got the wheels powder coated plus i bought a 5th one as a spare and got that done also.

Bought some Anglewax wheel cleaner and wax so will be taking these wheels off and cleaning them and then waxing them fully.

Here is a few pictures of the 5th spare alloy.

On the wheel it says "Dutch Silver" so I'm guessing that was the colour

Awesome looking car! Did you use any product to clean off the grease from the door hinges or just water and elbow grease?

I used a Gunk, Brush & Airline.
Once it was all taken off i then used a bush with hot soapy water and then sprayed clear silicon lube on the hinges.

That is really nice. Your a braver man than me though, having DSG outside warranty. Touch wood it doesn't s**t itself.

Bought from a garage with 12 months warranty and its been checked over twice and one being a Audi dealership.

Just bought a decent set of tyres for the front as the cheap ditch finders are no good.

I know its silly but I'm going to stick the ditch finders on the back as there is still 7mm tread on them and it would be a waste just to throw them out.
Putting these on the front.
2uhpogy.jpg

Also just had a new rear door lock fitted , boot solenoid fitted and the biggest problem of them all . . . . . . . . . The DMF !!
Just had that done today at an Audi Specialist , Never went with the Solid flywheel and just stuck with the dual.
Was a genuine LUK unit & bolts that where done.
