Not sure if it has been mentioned. Leisure Suit Larry
That game was absolutely superb. Wish someone would make it as a phone game now! That was it.... Nuclear War. Don't worry I'm talking to myself.
Desert Strike
A game so good on the Megadrive, I even bought it on the SNES.
Followed by Jungle Strike and Urban Strike, IIRC.
I f**king loved NBA Jam.
That came from down tooown!
Prince of persia was amazing! Used to love that game!
I am friends with the creators, Andrew and Philip Oliver They were also responsible for giving me my first job in the games industry. Happy days!I remember Dizzy games
Tell them I hate them for the ICANFLY cheat on Treasure Island Dizzy. Forget your snorkel fly onto the wrong screen and end up under water. Instant death.I am friends with the creators, Andrew and Philip Oliver  They were also responsible for giving me my first job in the games industry. Happy days!

Hahahaha! I'll be sure to let them know mate. In truth, that annoyed the hell out of me, too! They don't make 'em like they used toTell them I hate them for the ICANFLY cheat on Treasure Island Dizzy. Forget your snorkel fly onto the wrong screen and end up under water. Instant death.
Did they make good money from the series?
It was quite an experience on my interview and my early days working for them. I idolised them as a kid and grew up on their games. They gave me a two day interview to prove myself as a potential coder (took me out for a slap-up meal and drinks on the evening) and asked me to write a version of Missile Command. I fortunately hit it off with them straight away and they invited me to join the studio after a few hours on the first day (Andrew Oliver whispered to me that I'd got the job and there was no pressure!) Of course I wanted to do my best so produced a Missile Command clone and started work shortly after. On the first day of my new job they got news of a new contract they'd won and I started working on the 3D graphics engine of a Nintendo64 game with a team of talented guys. Happy days!f**k about. Cool
Sprite masking for collision detection, that's where it's at. I still get more enjoyment from playing games from that 80's/early 90's than I ever have done from modern "3D" games.
Quake II is the exception, that was brilliant multiplayer.
I still think head over heels is one of the best games ever designed. And games like bombjack.
