Spent all day cleaning it today, looks better than when it was new. I really like Zymol, wondering whether to splash out on a PC but im told that any circular motion machines (ie buffers) will cause long term swirl marks?

Also i forgot how good tyre dressings are, havent used mine since my VTS. really does make the car look new. I like Megs high gloss, autoglyms vinyl and rubber care does a good job too.

hmm you have a point, Megs lasts about a week if it hasnt been raining. Whatever the dealers were using looked good:

It had the same shine as Megs but not the greasy texture you get on the tyre with Megs, i really wanted to know what it was they were using.

Glad you got it sorted, It would have been enough to make me reject the car.

As for tyre dressing alot of car dealers use a Autoglym trade range product called Rubber Plus.

Using a buffer like a PC will not induce swirl marks if the paint surface and polishing pads are clean. If you were to use a rotary machine there is a chance you can cause holograms with it.

A properly used machine polish is what is neded to remove swirl marks.

not too keen on tyre dressing, seems to be a magnet to dirt - remember years ago putting boot polish on the tyres - really came up well and didnt attract any crap at all
