Hi folks,
'I suspected my thermostat wasn't working properly due to the low running temps.
Being a bit of a geek I did a 'before and after' data log and from the image below it's obvious how much different the new thermostat has made.
Quite weird really as the old one looked fine with no damage and it was the correct '75 degree'' part. But hey, for the cost of a new part it was well worth it.
Oh, and all the 'how to' videos etc say you need to remove the battery and its tray. You really don't.
I would suggest a 'stubby' 8mm spanner for the bottom bolt on the thermostat housing though, makes life easier for you.
