Looks alright but can't see it doing much with regards to swirl removal... the rotations per min on that is 3000... my megs g220 does 6000.... if you just wanna use it as a substitute for polishing by hand i would say fine but if your looking for a proper quality product...

I personally wouldn't buy that and fork out more for the proper shabang.

was thinking that you get a right lot of stuff for the price!

Ideal if you want to just polish the car though

With the correct pad/compound that rotary will nuke a DA for swirl removal . speeds on megs/pc/udm are not the same as roational speed of a rotary. lol at 6000rpm its 6000OPM (oscillations per minute) not rpm, a rotary is rpm, idealy you want a rotary with Variable speed with range of at least 1100rpm – 2000rpm. and Electronic speed control to maintain constant pad speed regardless of pressure

At the end of the day mate you get what you pay for, the rotary itself seems pretty good as for the pads etc you cant say they are good or bad, but like you say it is a bargain and worth a punt.

just get the cheapest one on there, pretty sure they do them for £35 posted, then get your own megs 6" backing pads and polishing pads

if you are a beginner at using a machine polisher then i would recommend getting and random orbital polisher rather than a rotary one. the reason for this is rotary ones just spins on the spot were as a random orbital polisher moves all over the place (the head is on a cam with a counter weight) to eliminate the mop staying in the same place and burning the paint

have a look at a UDM (ultra detailing machine) my brother has one and they are great, in my opinion it is better to have a more user friendly machine which would require going over the panel twice to remove all the swirls than risking burning through the paint with a rotary polisher. obviously professionals use them as they are a lot quicker but they know what they are doing

i use farecla G3 for compound (hard head) and farecla G10 for going over that (soft head), then i go over with a wax by hand
