These top mounts any good?

As per the title, are these top mounts any good, or on par/better than
K-Tec's?

They are Compbrake

Do a search, I did when I was considering getting some, and there are loads of threads on them. Generally considered not worth it.

Not sure on these but the AST's are awesome, one of the best mods ive done.

they are terrible! do not get them.
i had a set for 2 weeks and sent them back with a full refund. they rattle around inside the turret no matter how tight you do them up. a lot of people who have fitted them have also found this.
imo its oem top mounts or fixed ones.

my god! look at the camber on that wheel! and i thought the compbrake ones were non-adjustable camber!

I have a set of the Ktec ones at home waiting to be fitted next time im there, so hopefully they will be ok on the 182(only used on the road)

Spot the issue.....

The top mounts mounts weren't the issue with this.....


It was the camber bolts and and dodgy fit bottom ball joint.
dont listen to him.....


Anyway, would recommend those top mounts as they seize on when fitted and are very hard to remove without destroying them. I fitted AST ones as they are easy to remove and fully adjustable

ive avoided buying the compbrake top mounts but the allternatives dont seem very cost effective, i would love mark fish top mounts but seem tto remember they come at an premium :S it might be in my head but i swear my front suspension geometry moves/changes almost constantly as i drive!! doing my head in, am running coilovers so im sure the standard top mounts are not longer upto the task!!

As I've said previously, I never had any trouble with them at all. Regularly had the tracking checked after installation and it was always fine.

And Bearne 1, do they look like there are any signs of me having trouble removing them? As I said in the PM's.

If you don't want the hassle or fully adjustable or drilling the chassic then these are fine.

No signs of any damage at all, look in very good condition!

Unsure where to get these seals so may have to make do with what I've got!

Is it definately the spacing washer (chunky one) that fits on top of the spring holder? On a mission to borrow a socket to tighten the nut as looks a bit tight!
