Well I'm back!
As a few of you may be aware, I was the owner of a mk 6.5 zetec s for a whole two days then this happened:
After faffing around with the insurance (which is still being disputed) I had to get a cheaper car quick! So got on the look out for another clio.
I found a 54 plate 1.6 for sale quite close so went to look at it, seemed spot on so I bought it, and here she is!
The colour up close is awesome, its NV903 which I've never seen on a clio before it seems quite rare.
First step was to get it in the garage and get it checked out, at this stage I had the cambelt changed, new front disks and pads and have just had the rear disks and pads changed as well.
Then I gave it a quick clean up and started on little bits and pieces.
Fitted new rear coaxial speakers and amp'd them up.
Then removed the iso-fix bar.
Replaced rear exhaust mount:
Old knackered one:
Nice and clean:
I then picked up a strut brace off here cheap:
Had it powder coated dark grey then trial fitted it:
I then wrapped my dash strips:
I then sprayed my badges:
Also I have recently picked up some 172 wheels and I am in the process of refurbing them, they shall be going peugeot graphite grey (sames as the badges).
They cleaned up quite nicely
I then got bored of the wrapped dash strips so I sprayed them the colour of the car with yellow decals:
And at the minute it stands like
But very shortly it will look like :
Well the wheels will be a bit darker but it gives an idea
Future plans
Lower 40mm (will be done by the end of the month)
Finish refurbing the 172 wheels fit new tyres and get them on
Xenons
Colour coding
Maybe exhaust
Then just enjoy it
P.s Thanks to my girlfriend for helping me with most bits and typing most of this for me
