Think ive got a short...

Last weekend I took my car in for its MOT. Now the last time I did, they failed me for silvervisions(!), so I removed them all this time around to be safe. A few days ago I noticed that when I put my car in reverse sometimes, the fog light on the dash board comes on, as though im turning my fogs on. That stopped after a few days, but now it seems when I put it in reverse and brake my drivers side indicators all come on, as do the dash lights for the indicators. Now it doesnt happen all the time, just most of the time. Anyone got any ideas what it may be? Im thinking either something to do with me removing and replacing the bulbs or possibly the MOT garage doing something to my car.

I think it has something to do with a build up of rust in the connections in the rear bulb clusters.

, i'd check in the rear lights for corrosion/moisture. they could be wet shorting across making the all the rear lights come on, which makes a circuit which will cause the corresponding dash lights to come on.

Could be a relay? Mines doing the same now, but just passed its MOT on Wednesday. They did flag it up though.

might be that multi function computer under the fusebox, thats what a auto electrician said is up with mine. But my hazards won't go off..
