Thinking of buying a 172, advice please!

Type-R is faster, sounds superb and much bigger inside. The traction is superb, i booted it in 2nd coming off a roundabout and where a 172s back end would slip out, it just carried on, superb car.

A fair bit faster id say Paddy. The acceleration up to 5k is mad but once the 2nd cam comes on its bloody scary! Truely amazing.

LOL my dad has a ctr and ive driven it numerous time not just a testdrive (no disrespect ralphy) and in a sraight line then its slightly quicker but the powerband is far narrower than the 172 and its too big to be chackable in the same way as a 172. not saying its crap at all they are both great cars but in very different ways and the ctr is not that much quicker (anyone remeber the video clip posted on here of a 172 overtaking a ctr on a track)

Hehe, i was in the same boat. i just sold my VTS today, and pick up my Clio Cup on friday, the cup only cost me 10899 so i am well chuffed!!!
