Thinking of joining the 360 group :)

Which package do i need and why?

At the moe only have a normal 28" TV, but sometimes will be used on a HD tv downstairs.

360 Premium will do you fine, space for savegames and a wireless controller for comfort...

Is it not worth buying the Elite as it comes with a HDMI cable, and the premium does not?

Edit: Forgot to say will be planning on online gaming alot.

i use the component leads to put mine to my hd tv, and it would prob do you fine, i'd go premium, and spend the saving on xbox live membership.

If you're only occasionally HD gaming and your TV uses component, I'd stick with the Premium. If you prefer the colour of the Elite and think you'll be downloading lots then the Elite is possibly worth the extra - I'm usually on mine though and I've still got the 1st Gen Premium with 20Gb disk... It's more than adequate.
