Thinking of selling the valver!

Everything just seems to go wrong!

Its currently sat in a garage with no front brake cos the 4pot kit is sh*te and wont f**king fit, and I wont get it back til at least next week now.

Everything seems to be that much more hassle with it. Its not the car itself, its just Renault and Clio and parts for it!

The hassle its put me through modding it, I just think its not worth it anymore. Also the amount of money it owes me (only got myself to blame I spose)

Im just thinking Ive got enough money in the bank, and with what I could get for selling her, I could buy a newer, easier to live with car......

I have that feeling everytime my car is off the road getting repaired which is normally quite often but when its fixed and i can drive it again all them thoughts go out the window i love it.

What 4 pots have you got? cos i am gonna order some Hi-Spec racing 4s in a few weeks

mate i know how you feel, I have people moaning at me all the time about my car being OFF THE ROAD due to problems. I keep have thoughts of selling but every time I go to, I take it for a blast and fall in love with it again............................... then it goes wrong..... again.

It a viscious circle, but I just dont wanna give it up i have spent so much on it, I know i wont get it back but, soon everything will be new so I wont have to fix anything LOL



p.s it is currently off the road due to broken accelerator cable (ha ha ha)

Havnt most of the probelems been due to moding the car if you stop modding there would be less problem wouldnt there?

I dont think there many other cars which will give you the drivers satisfaction of the valver. Also modifying cars never has never realy been efficient.

What sort of car were you thinking of? I cannot think of any cars as good as a Valver especially for the money.

Do you realy want to take a back step in terms of driver involvment and speed and have to pay for the fact that it migh be more reliable?

Had the BBPT / Hi-Spec 310mm 4 pots, but they dont fit right and dont fit under my 16inch alloys like they said they would!

Ive heard the K-Tec kits are spot on and no-one has had any problems. Im not the first one to have problems with Hi-Spec brake kits.

Probably gonna stick to the standard set-up now though....cant be bothered with all the hassle!

Thats the billet 4 calipers but 310mm discs are quite big though and that might be because of the wheels why they wont fit under.

I am getting 280mm x 26mm discs with the racing 114-4 caliper which is a caliper designed to fit under smaller wheels.

At a cost of about £700 dependant on what pads i get tempted with pagid blues but i will probably get mintex 1155

same mate. mines been off the road 7 weeks now. mainly due to me waiting for other people, but its getting sorted this week, finally. Cant wait to go for a blast!
