This is war - help needed

Im getting the piss ripped out of me from a few of my mates who reckon that my mk1 172 will get blown away by a mate who is about to buy a Nissan 200SX turbo thingy.

My car at the moment has a viper and magnex on and is booked in to get a Dastek fitted in 2 weeks time.

So first up how close will it be ??? and what other mods off the shelf could I buy within the next 2 weeks, before I get the Dastek fitted, that will help my chances ??

think its more about mid range than peak power! mine made 3bhp more with smt6, but it pulls like a motherfuker from 2krpm to the limitor, and the torque is ACE! datek is good, but for good results u need cams etc first, or its not got a lot to map!

right then you say cams ?? where would be the best place to buy them from and how much would they be ??

I take it piper would be the best choice ??

The car is in a garage at the min so getting them fitted wouldnt be a problem

Oh yeah would I have the SX200 up to 60mph do you think ??

I know with the 106s its better to have your standard ecu remapped rather than having a dastek fitted cos there are more things open to be tweaked, ive got a dastek on my 106 and to be honest it wasnt that great, but then again its down to the mapper and its a different car, Jam Sport can remap standard ecus.

Well ive only really got the Dastek so to sort out the fueling from having my zorst and viper fitted. The car does feel a little rough round the edges. Im not expecting plus 10bhp more of getting the car set up right but this isnt what I really wanted to know about it was what I could bolt on withinn the next 2 weeks that would wipe the smiles off their faces LOL

So has anyone got any info about these cams ?? Ive done a search but not much info has come up

S13 or S14?Is it modified at all?Standard youll beat an S13 amd be close with an S14.Modified the skys the limit for the Nissans.

They (200SXs) are not *that* quick standard from memory. I used to be able to hold off a standard one belonging to a colleague prompting him to ask me what the hell I had done to my (modified) 106 Gti .. he he!

He then went and got his (P plate) 200 modified in response and sadly we never got to play once that was done for one reason or another. There used to be a fair few of them round Oxfordshire, though I always preferred the 300 zx and considered getting one at one point...
