  Never above 25mpg
But just as a quick guide. You need to sand the texture down til it's smooth as you like! Then a bit of primer and some wetsanding and then painting and lacquer, but yeah it can be done :)
 
Get it done by a body shop if your not a confident painter, Or PM someone like Middo who might be able to do the work for you at a price.

I did mine myself, they look ok, but need doing again tbh.

Me fella would be doing it with his stepdad's compressor and spray gun ;), especially as he needs to do a fair bit of painting on his ZR.
