thompson speedtouch driver problem

My Mum is on Virgin Broadband and they have recently advised her that the service is going to get a boost. In order to get the best she needs to install a new driver for her Thompson Speedtouch ADSL modem. I installed the new driver and now I can't get a connection. It seems that the ASDL connection is fine but however I try to connect to the net it keeps saying that the PPP is disconnected. It keeps going to a DIAL UP log in screen whereas it's a always on connection. I have done a GOOGLE for this problem but I can't seem to find the answer!

Please help!!! I am pulling my frigging hair out!

Had to use ADSL in the log in screen:-
