Tis a good idea till your starter or ballast/ xenon starts playing up !!

Xenons do suffer damage after continued on/off motions - due to high starting voltages.

Indeed...mercs etc that have the 'find me' feature or whatever its called on them only activate the sidelights and fog lights IIRC..

Correct.

They only use normal filament bulbs for that reason.

lol someone figure out how to do these for the normal filaments bulbs to come on at full beam and then off with the interior light, that wud be a gd find me feature
