Ok. So, a couple of weeks ago I got some crap down where the spark plugs go causing a misfire. That seems to have been sorted by a clean out and a set of new, correct plugs. What I have now is, and I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid, I think that it's using more fuel and it's definitely louder, especially cruising between 50 and 70/80.
I've got no lights on the binnacle telling me something's wrong? Obviously I had to take the manifold off to get to plugs and I was careful to not damage gaskets, but it's possible that I did some?
I did drive it about 50 miles with the sh*ty plugs in where is did misfire at low speeds/revs during that time. I have a cat on the car, is it possible I damaged it? Could that explain the noise and use of more fuel? Could there be damage to gaskets causing a problem? I'm grasping a straws here. I'm sure there are more knowledgable people on here than me that might be able to point me in the right direction.
Please don't say injector. It's not an injector! Any advice appreciated. Cheers.
