Well as some of you have already seen, I detailed Leeshez's black gold 182 last weekend on the Monday. By the end of the weekend I was thoroughly knackered due to detailing another car over sat and sun;
The R8 didn't need doing that badly, however, my father wanted it looking it's best for summer.
Due to having an awful stone chip repair on the rear arch, the entire car was covered in over spray or lacquer and therefore really required a serious going over with some clay. Then snow foamed and washed again, followed by Menz two stage IP and FF, CG Blitz (cheers to SCottish, great stuff, really happy with it!) and topped off with some Natty's Blue.
The wheels were awful and covered in tar, took around 2 hours on each, AG ITR, clayed, washed, polished, EGP'd and Collinite's 476 wax. Tyres dressed with Megs not so Endurance gel. Arches cleaned with Megs APC (then AG EMC when that had run out, doh!!) then dressed with AG Trim Dress.
Exhausts were ridiculous. Carbon everywhere. Out with wet and dry, then autosol, then SRP!
Windows and plastics were not touched due to being impressively resistant to anything nature has thrown at them, still beading like mad and no staining on the plastics.
Pictures from a Sunday late PM in the "sun"!
sizr fourteen foot vs tyres;
Clean vs dirty;
Final shots;
And on to Lee's car, just some final shots as there is a thread with other shots in already;
and one of the gent himself
