throttle body cleaning - HELP!!!

hey having some trouble with being lumpy on start up and some power loss when pulling away after searching i thought maybe it sounds like the throttle body needs cleaning? can anyone confirm this and maybe give me a total idiots guide to cleaning it myself??

I'd check it as they can get dirty easily but more likly check your TDC sensor map sensor.

where do i find that? how would i know if its knackered?
