Throttle body help.

  RB 182 Cup
hello, does anybody know where abouts and how hard it is to get to the throttle body on my 1.2 16v dynamique (2003 model). What bits do i need to unbolt and is it a big job or not? Also photos etc would be great too if anybody has them.

Thanks

Alex

if its just under the plenham chamber, is it just basically undo everything thats holding it on?. Got the day off work tomorrow so going to spend the day on it. What symptoms would you say to make you want to clean? mine just feels proper slugish lately, not cutting out or anything or low idle just feels like its lost a bit of power

You need a decent socket set, and a magnet on a sticks handy for the manifold > head bolts as they fall out. Manifolds dead easy to take off, if you've never done it before I'd say you'd have it off in 20/30 mins tops. You'll need an E8 socket for the 4 bolts ontop and a 10mm socket for the bolts holding it on the head at the front.

I'd leave the injector rail attached to the manifold saves trying to feed the wiring along which can be a mare trying to get them back on, just flip it over leave the injectors connected basically.

Bumping an old thread.

How easy is it to remove compared to a 172 engine (I've removed plenum on a 172 Cup, but not a 1.2)

Cheers
