My Clio Sport 2003 started showing an electronic incident indicator in the Dashboard that is solved by turning off & on the engine. This problem is appearing more and more often.
These are the fault symptoms: Poor idle/rough running/intermittent cutting out
I replaced the Throttle body with the piece of a friend's Clio and the problem disappeared. So I am sure it is wrong. The mechanics opened it and cleaned it as much as he could. The Throttle body worked fine for a week.
I am looking for help on:
a) It seems to me that the potentiometer rotating center is dirty, but looks very difficult to clean. Does anybody know how to clean the brush?
b) A new Throttle Body cost a lot (checked in Mexico and in Geneva, the same Fr. 500 in Renault dealer). Question: the Jetta 4 Throttle Body looks the same that to the part I need. Are they compatible?
