Throttle Cable Question

I need to tighten my throttle cable but can't seem to find it anywhere in the engine bay. Its become quite slack I can press the accelerater in about a 2cm before the revs move.

Has anyone got any pics or just a guide to finding it?

Thanks

As said above, there isnt one, if your pedal will move 20mm before the revs more something is wrong... does the pedal feel loose? if it does its probably the unit the pedal is connected to that is fucked, if it isnt loose it could be a few things...

Hey, nah thinking about it, it isn't 20mm I don't think because my pedal only moves about 80mm to the floor lol basically theres a tiny bit of slack in my pedal as when im stationary in traffic I can tap the acc pedal just a littlebit and it doesn't feel very sturdy if you get me... Its going into a garage soon so I will mension it to them. So there isn't a cable for my throttle then...? what is it which links the pedal to the engine?

Thanks for the help

Little elfs all in a line holding hands.....

lol, I can imagine the replacement part must be fairly expensive or can you just replace individual elfs one at a time? ;)

I don't know exactly how it works but as far as I'm aware there is a sensor on the pedal end which will measure how far the pedal has been depressed and that info will be sent to something around the throttle body which will open up the body correspondingly. Basically there isn't a physical connection its all electronic.

Well it's nice to actually remember something I've learnt in the past, those 3 years at uni weren't wasted after all...
