Throttle Problem

Got up Saturday Morning,

started car and it just ticks over at 2000rpm!!! i press the throttle ... nothing happens.

Phoned AA (as i werent at home), they took me to garage, but they reckon it's in 'safe mode' and couldnt do anything for me.

The car also misfires occasionally whilst ticking over at 2k.

Any ideas what could be wrong and the price to put this right?

Also the brakes just about died whilst taking it off the aa truck, is this related or are my brakes all of a sudden just knackered?

Sorry it's a 1.2 16v Dynamique 52plate.

Renault have told me it's the throttle bodies that are knackered. Which means a cost of £522!!!!! ripping off tw@s! i bet it just needs cleaning and not replacing at all

they generally pack up, tis the crappy fly by wire systems.
