Throttle take while to engauge? Problem with car?

  Punto Evo Abarth
hello, sinse i bought my 03 1.6 dynamic clio, the throttle has had a delay on it, what i mean is when you put your foot on the throttle it takes a while for the engine to respond (rev counter doens't move straight away) and its the same with when you let off the throttle, you take your foot off and itll still go a tiny bit, (get annouying when you change gear at high revs and its still reving when you have your foot off the throttle.)

The car has recently been back to the dealer in which they told me they had cleaned out my throttle body because it was idleing to low. anyway should my throttle be like this or is there a problem? no other cars ive drove/been in have done this. Thanks alot for your help.

I had a problem with the throttle body where it wouldn't run a high idle when it was cold but it was running the cold mixture. They replaced the throttle body under warrenty and its been fine for about 5 months and its now starting to do it again.

I'm going to wip mine off this afternoon and see what the crack is, I'm thinking its getting s**t up with oil mist coming out of the crank breather. Could be making the throttle stick.

Well disproved that theory, nothing in there was looks like it would be making it stick. Back to renault it goes.

Sounds like the throttle body might be dirty.

Your cars under warently get Renault to fix it.

they were ment to have cleaned it becasue it was ideling to low, but it is reanult, Arthur job. :( now im gonna be stuck with a shockingly slow clio :(
