Been told by my mechanic that I need to replace the n/s/f link arm... Need to order the part but not sure if he means 'inner track rod'? Are they the same thing? thanks...
Nope
The inner tie Rod is the arm that attaches to the steering rack and the track rod end is the part that attaches to the hub assembly (metal with a ball joint and rubber boot)
the tie rod is the part they screw in or out of the track rod end for your vehicle tracking (geometry)
I hope this makes sense
Thanks for that but don't think it's the ARB link... Could be wrong thoughWhatever it's called, it's probably this.[/video]
You were spot on 1812lsd.. it was the anti roll bar link that needed replacing, exactly as shown in the video! Job done after lots of hassle compressing the centre rubber section enough to expose the bolt thread for the new lock nut to go on (had to use a jack underneath the anti roll bar). Thanks for your advice..Whatever it's called, it's probably this.
