Time it took to break

Just wondering how long from u owning the car did sumfin break.
I managed 2 badly crack the windscreen in 11hrs from owning the car with my head:banghead:

No seatbelt and braked hard? or just felt the need to headbutt something?

11 hours? Blimey, that will take some beating! Could you not have claimed on your insurance for the windscreen, or would that not have been a viable option?

I had my present Clio 2 1/2 years before the hazard light swtch broke, nothing major fortunately.

yep did do on the insurance, but just p***ed had 2 shell out that soon

It seems (from reading other posts) that many Clios start to cause trouble not long after the 3 year mark and being as mine has only just passed that, looks like I have all that to come. Oh well, that's french cars for you I suppose, just got to love them though, right?

haha love it now, had it for 1 year now and got 2 say its the best car i have owned.
Had no more probs with it since (touch wood) lol

Mine wasn't even fixed when I bought it the alarm wasn't right.

Hubby and I also have a little Clio 1.2 Fidji as our little run about. She is 13 years old, done roughly 83k and we paid £475 for her. We've had her roughly 4 months and recently went straight through the mot with no hastles. Hubby has taken her to Suffolk today (2 hours up the motorway from us) and he rang me when he got there and said she did extremely well. So far (touch wood) she hasn't given us any bother, and seemingly didn't give her previous owners any hastle either (got all mots, service history and everything else).

My car is an import, so it didn't come with an alarm. :dapprove: Thank God for Alarm specialists (sp) eh?

Think i had mine a week then it had to go back to get the sunroof fixed after that ive had nothing but constant trouble, although have to be honest not the cars fault lol vandalism, people who ram them doors open and idiots on motorbikes!!

Yeah it is! Ok ill list everything thats happened!!
Banging sunroof, clicking steering, motorbike hit me(needed new rear door, 1/4 panel, alloy n tyre), central locking stopped working on new door, managed to take a chunk out one of my tyres(dont know how) so needed new tyre, new front windscreen after little sh*ts threw stones at me while on bypass, drivers door pin popped out, been hit 3 times by inconsiderate drivers getting out their cars and to top it all off most recently had rear windscreen smashed in by some idiot!!

Oh bloody hell Louise.You haven't had much luck at all have you? Motorcyclists can be a right pain in the arse, I have had a couple of near misses myself (not my fault I might add). Stones thrown at your windscreen? The little sh*ts!! Glad you weren't hurt. As for inconsiderate car drivers, there seem to be more and more of those each day.

About a day Had new brakes and discs and they were too tight and when you braked you got these really High pitched squeel from them

mine was fine for the week i owned it...then on the day i passed my test it began overfuelling...n resulted in me having jack s**t power all of a sudden pulling out of junctions which wasn't half dangerous...pumping out
thick smoke as well...took renault 3 attempts to fix it too so was without a car for a week after i'd just passed....only 19k on the clock at the time :S

Yeah and to top it all off the motorcyclist just got up and sped off so i had to fork out myself to get it fixed!! Police were absolutely useless as usual but nothing new there!!

I drove my car off the forecourt (brand new, 11 miles on the clock) and the airbag and service lights were on, do i win.
