Timing belt change and new thumb grips

Hi

I have recently bought a RS Clio 182 and I want to get the timing belt done, Renault have quoted me £500 which seems a little high considering Ktec will do it for £430. How much have you paid for this job and is it worth getting it done by Renault? Should I search for another garage and allow them to do it for a lower price?

Also the thumb grips have seen better days and I would like to replace them. The only ones that I have found are from Ktec and i don't fancy the carbon replacements but cannot find any other options about?

Wouldn't trust Renault at all belt needs to be done by someone with experience of the F4R, Specialist only imo

Cheers will give them a ring, only problem being on the IOW is I am going to get stung this time of year taking the car over on the ferry
