Timing belt change

Had my timing belt changed last week at my local Renault dealer and they chared me 490 quid!

Av i been ripped off??

I looked at the guy in the Renault dealer stupid when he told me the price i thought he was having me on!

someone on here was quoted £900 to change an alternator!

Sounds expensive to me, took mine to a respected local garage who done mine for £260 all in, that was a cambelt kit aswell, whatever that comprises of...
