timing belt problem

had the timing belt done and dephaser today locked the cams and put pin in crank the cams were out at the cam seals side freed dephaser off put it horazontal put clamp on the cams but cant time it put the cams back the way they were still running bit lumpy how do i time it any help

what? didnt get a word of that. proper way to do it is lock the crank and cams, free off all 3 pulleys and rotate the belt on its pulleys (with crank and cams still locked twice to distribute tension.. i then do the first stage of torque on the crank pulley and fit the pulley locking tool and tighten the cams.

then its jsut a case of finally tightening turning twice and rechecking

the garage put the tool to lock cams on but wouldn't line up and crank pin but then fitted the dephaser the cam pulley was free and the dephaser
