Have you got the horseshoe that slots in the end of the cams?

Talk us through what you've done so far

Yes I have the horse shoe, that's fits in without any struggle, all belts and dephaser replaced, belts were rotated forward backwards before they were tension up etc, I read what I could find about timing on here but still cocked it up !!!! Thanks 4 the reply

So what's the problem mate? I might be being thick but I'm not sure what issues you're having? If it all times up ok, and the horseshoe slots back in no problem then you're all good?

If the pulleys are all tight and the marks like up you can't have gone too far wrong.

I would you had damaged valves you would get less than 175psi, and the cylinders would likely give uneven readings.

Pulleys are tighten to 125 NM got the info from here, am frigging lost with this one may just start all over again

Dunno I will check that tomorrow, today was just re-checking the timing marks, I've got a video of it running but unable to post will keep trying

What I meant by timing marks were the locking pin and the horse shoe, I don't think it's the cat she low on compression on a four showing 175 psi gona post youtube vid later it's not letting me do this at work haha

Is the engine at the same temp as before, it is imperative that you check the compressions when the engine is at operating temp, and will make a difference to your readings if the engine was tested hot and cold.
