Timing out?

I been doing a few bits to my new 172 which when bought was told it would have a new cambelt kit and dephaser pulley, well on start up it ildes abt 1000 -1100 rpm (is this normal) but does feel like it has a misfire which clears when revved i have checked the injector they working fine and its had new plugs and leads within 6 months i got receipt but if the cambelt wasnt done properly would this cause a misfire at ilde the car goes well pulls well just idles funnys anybody had this before

These cars idle funny, get the rs tuner 98 ron map put on it, you can buy the hand held unit off here for about £100.

Mine idles like a car that is cammed.
Runs fine and been like it for 2+ years now.
I wouldnt worry to much but you can get the timing checked.
