Tire advice needed HELP PLEASE

  ClioDynamiqueS138 2L
Hi
I am looking to purchase new tires for my 2008 Clio Dynamique S 138 2L. Currently running on Conti's sport contact 2 XL 195/50/16 88V.(great for handling but fuel and wear not so great)

I have been looking at the Dunlop sport blue response XL as they have a better safety and fuel rating(and slightly better for wear).

My third choice are the Michelin energy saver+ XL, would these be able to handle the car?

I really do not have a clue when it comes to tires and after a week of research i am still no closer to buying.(maybe UniRoyal Rainsport 3?) Please could you recommend or advise if you can.

I really would appreciate any guidance

Thank you for you're time

There's always going to be a compromise with tyres.

Handling over wear for me.

No point having a tyre that will last for 100,000 miles if you fail to get round a corner or stop in time the first week you fit them.

Budget tyres are a false economy.

If you're happy with what you've got at the moment, stick with them. Tyre reviews from regular users are pointless. 10 people will have completely different opinions and experiences of the same tyre.

If you kook at the fuel things on the websites reviewing tyres, you'll find it saves 100l over 12,000 miles or something from A-F rating. We're talking 1-2mpg... Really not worth worrying about.
