PM sent

it is a poorly made bumper and my bodyshop had a job fittin it and made new brackets themselves. I asked K-tec about the brackets and they said there gonna try and get some made but they never will.

There are no middle supports so had to make there own and the side ones didnt even fit the car!!!!

Nice bumper, poorly designed

Also i dont av a gap

Hello Guys, I am sorry to hear about the fitting problems you have had with our rear bumper. We have found that the quality of the rear bumper is far better than any others we have seen and the thickness of the fibreglass used is also thicher than others we have seen. We have also found our bumper needs less prep work before painting than others.

Both the 16v and non 16v bumpers were developed on a Clio so no guess work was used and the jigs used to line up the bracket fixing points were also designed on a car not just by taking measurements. We are now having new rear bumper middle mounts made to go wit the side mounts we supply whcih we find work very well. We fitted another or these bumpers last week and we did find the middle brackes could do with being changed and we have made some new brackets which should be being made in the next 2 weeks. We will also be sending a fitting guide out with the bumpers when we have the new brackets available.

It is good that we can get this sort of feed back on the bumpers so we can look at seeing what needs to be improved and if any of you would like some of the new brackets when they are available please call us and I will get some sent to you.

David.

Cheers for replying David,

As me and Patty are saying, the bumper are good quality just the fittings could be better as were having to make our own brackets which is causing the bumpers to creek and flex too much. The bumpers looks class and i did notice when i picked it up there was no movement/flex so could see it was thicker material which is hard to find in after market bumpers.

Would we be able to have a pair of these middle mounts once finished as we both just used a piece of metal going from the bumper to the metal frame of the car which is not exactly brilliant but only thing we could do.

Cheers for the explaination
