TODAY at FCS



Yoz blew it up, first thoughts were the headgasket.

It was going really well, untill we were flying down the main straight, all of a sudden big rattle, lots of noise, then the engine cuts out. Lots of steam from the exhaust - engine dead.
 


Apart from the above....was a good day....great to meet lots of new people and see everyone else again :D

great day had and just got home after my meal with ssc. The day was good and unfortunatly gave me lots of ideas.

I am so tired though which is a combination of doing a fell race yesterday and then getting up at 4:30 this morning to meet dave.

Meet some new faces and Im in love with Yozs car.



TOP DAY GUYS AND GIRLS AND IF IT WANST FOR US LOT IT WOULDNT HAPPEN.

Was a great day but I really cooked my head - that sun was deceptive!!

Anybody go out in the ATOM - that thing was seriously quick!!!! Well worth the fiver!!!

What a job, just driving round in that thing all day.

I didnt think you could handle that chicane,so I decided to destroy it.Who wants that in the way?lol

Just this minute got home,blimin knackered.But what a great day.:D
 


was a good day, met lots of new people but not loads... some real nice motors...

yep ben tucks the ballerena....heard about that from the man himself on the way home
 


Must admit I moved a couple of cones on the exit :oops:

Just a little touch, way before Tucks destroyed them completely - lol
 


Got back a while ago - great day, and great to be able to meet some folks in person.
Thanks also to everyone involved in organising the day for us - the stand looked really good - and had a great selection of motors on it!
Hope Yoz manages to get the cup running soon - it was sounding fantastic on the track!
The only problem now is - having seen (and heard) some of the cars there today, I really need an exhaust and IK!!!

Yeah,I got carried away...span out & ruined the chicane,then Day finished it off.:)

Managed not to break ort though,so thats a success in my book!

I lost my track virginity lol and I liiiiiike it :devilish: hehe

Fortunately, so does my car it seems - despite 45 solid minutes of over 5k rpm, bouncing off the rev limiter time and time again, going way over the rev limiter to 7.5k while changing down to 2nd :o and generally abusing my tyres with silly entry speeds and massive drifts on the corner with the airplane in the middle, it seems to have turned into some sort of beast! Felt soooo strong on the way home and surprised me a couple of times! :confused:

Now Im just concerned that its loosening up to the point of breaking... lol

Had a superb day all in all and the turnout was excellent. Hope to see you all at Donny South and Trax! :cool:

nothing.

was a standard engine that blew up yesterday.

Only power modifications were an rsport ecu, exhaust and viper.

I had been expecting it, as it has been using oil for about the last month, not much, but enough to notice, especially if i had been thrashing it. Anyhow, it just brought the plans forward a few weeks so, hey ho.

or if you meant what did I do to it yesterday - dont know, maybe the same thing that Matt did to his nitroused 172 - spun a lobe on the cams? We dont know yet, we took the engine apart on the side of the A14 while we were waiting for the AA, and the third port was full of coolant, so I think its the head, matt thinks its the cambelt so, well see :-)

Was was in those red saxo(s) on the track? and what the hell was in that orange 306?! I gotta say that 306 was seriously quick.. Also gotta say I have to learn how to drive but I was having so much fun, trying to (and gradually) catching up with another 172 or two, but then this monaco blue 172 that I was gaining on eventually decided to cut thru the chicane and I went around it, thus losing precious seconds! Then they went into the pits!

Ive got loads of vids, watch this forum I will post links soon...

(PS if anyone can recommend some webspace for me thatd be nice)
 


I think the AA were pretty busy in the area, we passed a couple of busy patrol vans on the way to the M1 !!
 


unlucky yoz, but spose it gives you a good excuse to do some more mods now, liked the way you told tom you sold the valver because it was to mint...

Ohhhh!! That makes me throw the idea of selling the 172 and getting a normal VTS out of a large window now. Thank god!

bloody hell mate! half 10 u got back! wat time u leave?

and oh! i see! thanx, but i almost took that chicane out eralier as it was! lol :oops: (but i saved it just in time!)
 


Was a good day, had to leave early though the 1am start got the better of me!



The Ecosse 306 was scary fast, didnt get a look buy it didnt sound like it had a turbo so who knows what it was?!?



Got sunburn as well
